Last week our Chief Buyer, Vanessa, attended the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas to scope out new products and meet with Buyerly customers. She even had time for lunch with a buyer of an important naturals retailer who, by the way, is also a Buyerly buyer!

Each day, we will release one of Vanessa’s Top 5 products and brands from ABC Kids Expo.

SwingEase by HoneyBee Child is a new, patent-pending product that enables babies and toddlers to safely and comfortably swing on a traditional playground swing. The SwingEase also allows a child to swing on a caregiver’s lap while safely secured.

HoneyBee Child is an upscale, mom-inspired brand designed for smart, savvy mothers who appreciate simplicity, functionality, and good design. With the abundance of child products on the market, we felt there was a lack of attention given to a woman’s sense of style while ensuring functionality and safety.

The Swing Ease won the award for Most Innovative Product (Play & Entertainment) by the Juvenile Products Manufacturing Association at ABC Kids Expo. What an honor! I had the chance to chat with the two co-founders, Katie and Jill, who are passionate moms with impressive business chops (both have backgrounds in management consulting). In my experience, retailers prefer working with vendors who can grow a business and drive sales. Vendors are thought-partners who can analyze ambiguous problems and recommend solutions.  Not everyone is equipped with this skill set. But HoneyBee Child’s business savvy definitely fits the bill.
